60th Reunion
We welcome everyone back to Emporia to celebrate 60 years!
If you haven’t signed up…you still have time…. The deadline is September 23 at @5 pm.
We are excited to see you all at Casa Ramos el Patio, 402 Merchant Street…anytime after 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 28. Enter off 4th Avenue through the large double wood doors. This restaurant is ADA compliant.
We have also arranged some opportunities for those of you wanting to spend time with classmates during the weekend….
Champions Landing…Emporia’s newest public venue…formerly the Emporia Country Club, 1801 Rural.
Friday, September 27…5 pm or later
Meet in Champs Bar & Grill for drinks and/or dinner with your classmates.
Saturday, September 28 and/or Sunday Brunch in Champs Bar & Grill…
10:30-2:00 pm. Order from the menu… champslanding.com
Everything is casual dress and dinner Saturday is FREE with cash bar available. Any money in our savings account will be donated to the Spartan Stop for needy students.
The weather should be wonderful fall weather!

Today's Featured Biography
David Fankhauser
I was born at Newman hospital and went to Walnut School and high school in Emporia. I served four years in the Air Force from 1965-1969, spent one year in training and three years at a radar site at Wasserkuppe Germany as a digital equipment repairman. After that I returned home and went to school for two years and then moved to California and worked testing electronic equipment. Initially as a technician and later as an engineer. I gave my life to the Lord in 1976 after a long downward spiral and was changed. Married in 1981 and have a wife and two daughters. Over the years I worked primarily in test and development of digital electronic systems used in commercial aviation and on satellite programs for the following companies, Digital Products which became TRW, Teledyne Control's, Garrett Air Research which became Allied Signal, Rockwell Satellite Systems, Hamilton Standard, then Back to Rockwell which became Boeing. I retired in 2009. I am thankful for the good times, the bad times, the fond memories, and friends that I shared them with over the years.
