Peggy Johnson

Jim & I married in Jan 1973. We finished college and moved back to Decatur.
We have 3 kids. Ben, 43 this year, is in ISIT for Tate & Lyle. Don, 40 this year, is in the Engineering group at Boston Scientific and Christine 37 this year, is a Master Sgt in the US Air Force in the Ceremonial Brass as a Trombonist.
I have had interesting jobs mostly as a Chemist, from Consumer Product Testing to Playing with Chemical Weapons, specifically Nerve Agent a.k.a. VX. That job was by far the scariest I ever had!
When Jim took a job transfer from Decatur to Lafayette, IN, I got a job as a Research Assistant at Purdue University in the Whistler center for Carbohydrate Research. After the boys graduated from PURDUE Univ. I left the PURDUE job to play with Chemical Weapons. It was a Long drive, 90 minutes each way, 12.5 hour shifts and an incredibly difficult schedule to keep up with. Flip Flopping days and nights with as little as 1.5 days. It was a dangerous job, as a tenth of a drop of VX will Kill you. I left the Chemical Weapons job to work at Roche Diagnostics in Indianapolis, IN. I supported 14 Analyzers there across the United States. I worked from home, after less than a year with the company, utilizing several computers and monitors. It was a great job but I was very happy to retire in 2013. We moved to Eastern TN. We live on a golf course and spend a lot of time on the lakes in the area. I have a Business, PJP Studios which is a quilting / sewing business.
