50 Year Reunion Announcement!
Downtown Loop Get together
Downtown Chicago Loop
Pay as you go
We are closer than 6 months away from our Downtown DDE 50th reunion (Thurs., Aug 10 through Sunday, Aug. 13th). I am hoping that you have made or are planning to make reservation plans in the very near future. Downtown hotel reservations can get tricky if one waits too long. Some of us will be flying in and some might be planning to drive into the city to join us. In either case, I need your permission to use your email address along with your smartphone number. We plan to communicate with each other via these instruments (email and texting). So, if you are planning to attend , I will need your permission and this info. promptly.
We are still working on some of the venues we plan to attend (ie. Chicago River Architectural Boat Tour, Wrigley Field Tour, Chicago Art Museum Tour, Pizza and Mexican Food Dinners). Any other suggestions are welcomed. Again, the committee on this is just me and Hammond, so please do not get too fancy with the ideas.
This list was created only with the positive responses I received from the initial notification. If you know of anybody that is interested in the Downtown venue, do not hesitate to forward this to them. There was a group of classmates that wished to have the reunion on the South side once again. I asked them to go ahead and try to plan it around the same time we were all going to be downtown for our fun weekend, and maybe we could arrange a minibus and or van to attend there get together. Unfortunately, I have not heard from anybody. It sounds as if this will be the only planned reunion. Hoping to hear from you soon. Regards, Frank Lavernia
