Today's Featured Biography
Marcos Elliott Markoulatos
15 years is a long ass time. I'll try to hit the high points. After a short stint at ISU I got into the automotive business and worked at a few dealerships and independent shops. I spent a few years goofing off, Ken Warren and I owned a house together for a year or so and then I moved to Lawrence, KS. (home of the 2008 NCAA basketball national champs, if you didn't already know) in the fall of 2000. I uprooted my life and moved to Kansas for, what else would it be, a girl. We dated for about 2 years, one of those while she was in Lawrence and I was in Indianola, and we flew to Jamaica and tied the knot in 2001. On January 1, 2003 our first daughter, Eva was born. Life was so easy until July 4, 2004, when our second daughter, Tayte, was born. She is a fireball. Two girls, 18 months apart, and both get the day off and fireworks on their birthdays. They keep us very busy. I started in 2000 at Baron BMW as a technician and lead MINI tech, until 2006 when I went to Kansas City Auto Sport, a private BMW,MINI,VOLVO and Rover shop. I am currently beginning to take ownership of this facility, which is going to be outstanding. We sold our house in the spring of 2007, moved everything into an 1880's rental house downtown which is 1/2 the size of our old place (but a really nice house nonetheless), and are building a new custom house a few miles away. Life is good. See you all soon.
