Today's Featured Biography
Amy Hawthorne Saskowski
Hey everyone! After a few "senior" years at Iowa State (I did a bit of international travel) and then graduating from Iowa State, I taught 1st-4th grade for 3 years in State Center, IA (you've heard of it? the Rose Capital of Iowa?) while my husband, Mike, finished up at Iowa State. Then, we moved back to Davenport in 1998 when Mike took a position with John Deere, and I was offered a 3rd grade teaching position in DeWitt. I began my current career of stay-at-home mom (and volunteer...you know, PTA, girl scout leader, soccer coach) the day our first daughter was born. The best job ever! I never thought we would move back to the QC, but we really have a great life here. I am truly looking forward to seeing many of you at the reunion!
