The Pleasant Valley High School Class of 1974 Reunion was approved as a tax-exempt non-profit organization on October 17th, 2024.
The Internal Revenue Service requires us to publish a full copy of our Form 1023 tax-exempt application, determination letter and the latest copy of our annual return (Form 990-N Postcard) on our class website.
Unfortunately, the website's space limitations will not allow us to upload the full document. Given that, we have uploaded the determination letter and our most recent annual return along with this letter. The link to see the disclosure is located between "Class News" and "Class Message Board" toward the bottom of this webpage.

AHOY CLASSMATES! The reunion committee has scheduled a 70TH BIRTHDAY PARTY gathering on AUGUST 15, 2026. We are planning to enjoy birthday festivities aboard a Mississippi Riverboat Cruise.
Based on survey responses, we will be cruising midday rather than in the evening. We are crossing our fingers and hoping that the river will be well enough behaved to allow the riverboat to leave the dock! :)
The committee will be meeting again this August to begin planning. Once we have picked a riverboat cruise company, we will provide an internet link for you to explore.

I am living happily ever after with my husband of 30+ years here in Central Florida! We raised two sons and two daughters and nowadays we enjoy 12 grandchildren.
I graduated from Iowa State University with a B.A. in English. Afterwards I was employed for 30 years in education, working in Iowa, Utah, Florida, Texas, and Arkansas. (In addition, I lived in Massachusetts for one summer and in Hawaii for 1.5 years.)During these years I earned a master's degree in educational media from the University of Central Florida. I taught middle school and junior high for most of these years, focusing on GED completion, language arts, public speaking and directing school plays. Finally, I closed my career in education as an elementary school librarian.
Currently I serve as a leader in the women's auxiliary of my church and enjoy hunting down my family tree on Ancestry.com.
