Today's Featured Biography
Roger Brown
I retired four years ago from Federal Service. Currently, I'm a part time substitute school teacher in Arlington. I find it very rewarding.
There are five high schools where I substitute when called by the automated scheduling system. The students speak over 20 languages besides English. I can now say Good Morning in about 18 of them.
My wife of 24 years,Joanna, retired last October from the FBI. During her retirement, she volunteers as a behavioral watcher at the National Zoo. She is currently doing a study of the lions. The pride just had 4 cubs.
Professionally, I obtained two BBAs in the 1970s and in 1999 a Master's in Informmation Systems. Somewhere along the way, I got my professional certifications: CMA, CISA, and CFE. Oh, yes, I was in the US Army from 1967 to 1970.
While getting my BBAs in New Mexico, I took fencing and qualified for and went to the 1973 US National Championships.
Today, 9/11, is a sad day because I knew people killed in the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania. It has been a depressing to remember. One of my friends rushed the terrorists and crashed their plane in Pennsylvania.
