Event Announcement!

1972 → 72: The Journey Continues

Thursday,  September  17,  2026  -  5:00 pm

Platte River Bar & Grill, 5995 S Santa Fe Drive, Littleton

$45

We are excited to announce a special one night event on September 17, 2026 at the Platte River Bar and Grill in Littleton. The event will run from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and we will have a private gathering place (with a bar). Cost is $45 per person and includes dinner, 1 drink ticket, tax and tip. Also, a block of hotel rooms will be reserved for those who do not want to drive after the event.

We will start gathering RSVP's and payment (via Zelle or Check) in May. Information will be sent via email or your home address, (or both) depending on what you have listed on this site.
Please be sure it is up to date! Remember, this information it is kept in confidence and you can mark your page as completely private if you prefer.

Good News! Due to our long term relationship with Class Reports, it is now free! Many thanks to those who made donations to support our subscription. If you wish to make a donation to our class fund (which helps with expenses for our gatherings), please use Zelle which almost all banks in the U.S. use. Once you have the link, enter Chrisann Wolfer Steurer's phone number (303-927-9799) and follow the instructions. This will send the money directly to the "JFK Class of 1972" checking account.

We also need everyone to share the information with friends to be sure they are getting the news!

Look forward to seeing everyone!

Today's Featured Biography

Jim Cronin

After graduating from JFK in '72 I attended Colorado State University and graduated in 1976 with a degree in Zoology. By then, however, I had decided to become a science teacher and returned to school at Denver University to become certified. After working in a few districts, including a couple of parochial schools for 5 years, I finally settled in The Cherry Creek District, primarily at the middle school level. I helped open 3 different schools and helped develop some of the science curricula in the district. I retired in 2010 after 34 years of teaching.
Currently, I am working part-time for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science as an educator performer. This means I get to portray an astronaut on Mars, dissect hearts and lungs, try to sell interstellar vacation properties and any number of other educational programs for guests of the museum.
As if this was not enough, I have also become a successfully published author of four science fiction novels, soon to be five. This was something I started as a challenge to learn something new, and it turns out I have a knack for it. Who knew?
On a personal level, I married Diane Hartfield in 1978 (yes, she is from Lincoln '73, but what can you do). We have 2 boys who are now out on their own. David is 40, married with two beautiful daughters (whom I spoil rotten every chance I get), and an IT developer in Ft. Collins. Sean is 37 and a smokejumper for the U.S. Forestry Department, currently working out of Idaho. He has two sons and a daughter who we try to visit as often as we can.
