Today's Featured Biography
Diane Howard
After graduation, I attended Mesa College for a short while. I decided to go to business school and become an optometric technician/office manager. The summer of 1981 I moved to the Palm Springs area. I figured it would be the smartest way to go since I was spending 4 days a week there hitting all the clubs. While living in the Palm Springs area I got a job with San Diego Federal Savings and Loan which was the perfect job to have if I ever intended to return to San Diego because I could transfer to a branch in San Diego which was what I ended up doing a short time later. I also worked in a Chriopractic office in Alpine for a while as office manager. In the summer of 1984 I met former PHHS student, Gary Schon who was in the class of 1980. He had just been honorably discharged from the Airforce. Three years later, June 1987, I had my son, Christopher. When Christopher was 2 years old, I decided to return to school and become a paralegal which is exactly what I did and continue doing to this day. In 1991 I had Christopher's little sister, Kristen. My father passed away in July 1989 while I was attending Paralegal school. Made it kind of hard to think about classes but I didn't miss a day (he wouldn't have wanted me to). March 1990 I began working for Knox Attorney Services, left in 1994 to expand my knowledge of the legal profession. Summer of 1998 I began working as an electronic court reporter in the federal district and at times was assigned to hearings out of state and often out of the county. That was a very interesting job which I enjoyed. In October 1998, my mother sold the family home on Melotte Street. In Mah 1999, I returned to work for Knox Attorney Service. On November 4, 2002, my 23 year old niece and 7 year old nephew were killed in an auto accident in New Mexico. It was then that I decided life is just too precious and too short to waste on trival crap and other peoples drama and that includes putting up with the b.s. of co-workers and ungrateful upper management and in August 2003, I left Knox. From that time on I was able to do just about whatever I wanted and I did. I spent a few weeks out of the years going to Colorado and even worked at Khol's in Santee during the Christmas season. May 2008, I met my current boyfriend and we're still together. Summer of 2008, I spent every weekend at El Capitan tubing and just having a blast with old high school friends. In May 2009, my son graduated from SDSU and my daughter graduated from high school. July 2009, I decided it was time to purchase a Waverunner and that is exactly what I did. From then on to the end of the season I could be found out at the lake every weekend and usually on Thursdays as well.In December 2009, I started working part-time for Home Instead Senior Care and it's a "job" I throughly enjoy. It's a good feeling to know that what I do for my clients means so much to them and appreciated beyond words. August 2010, my son started law school and my daughter is in college. Kristen moved into her own apartment Sept. 2010, and she's doing it all on her own. My biggest accomplishment in life is my two kids and raising them to be productive members of society.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
