Today's Featured Biography
Butch Sullivan
After attending Mira Costa Community College, I transferred to Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. In 1979, I graduated and started teaching for the Forest Grove School District. I also was married that summer. LaDonna and I have made Forest Grove our home for the past 35 years and we will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary on July 7. Our children-Darci (1982) and Dylan(1988)are both teachers. Darci is a Special Education Teacher for Sheridan High School and Dylan teaches and coaches for the Bend School District. In the summer of 2011, our grandson Brady Patrick Holland was born- he turns three in August.
For 33 years, I served the community of Forest Grove as a social studies teacher at Neil Armstrong Jr. High, Tom McCall Middle School, Tom McCall Upper Elementary School and Forest Grove High School. During my time with the school district, I also served as an Athletic Director-Middle School and the Activities Director/Leadership Teacher-High School. In June of 2012. I retired did a little traveling, some subbing and some work around the house.
On May 1, 2013 I was hired as the Executive Director of the Forest Grove/Cornelius Chamber of Commerce.
