Joy Newlin Herzog
I have been married to Carl Herzog, Class of '56, El Cajon High, for the past 50 years. We have two children, Susan Herzog-Blumer, age 48, and Robert Herzog, age 47. We have 4 grandchildren, age 23, 16, 15 and 13. Carl and I live in Lakeside and have been raising Plumerias, the Hawaiian Lei Flower, for the past 30 years. We founded the Southern California Plumeria Society in 1999, which now has over 375 members. We love going, doing, and seeing every day as an adventure. Meeting new and old frineds, family, exercise, and travel make for a wonderful life. Oh, Yes, reunion TOO. Our travels include Hawaii, Thailand, Hong Kong, England, Belguim, France, Mexico, Canada, and the USA. The next destination will be Costa Rica to find the next new Plumeria.
