Today's Featured Biography
Jerome George
Currently retired. Leaving in the spring of 2007 for an around the world odyssey. Fly to Japan, train to North Island of Japan to sail with Japanese friends, ferry to Vladivostok in Russia, Baikal Amur Mainline Rail to Ulan Udu in Siberia and then switch to Mongolian train to Ulaanbaatar Mongolia, performing a concert at the Music College of Ulaanbaatar, meet guide for 2,100 mile jeep trip across Gobi desert (just guide wife and myself), meet up with our camel herder in southern Mongolia for 800 mile trek by camel, meet Chineese train and return to Ulaanbaatar, train to Lake Baikal where we will sail for about 10 days, train to Moscow, train to St. Petersburg, train to Prague, train to Paris, train to London where Janet and I were married, train to Southampton, Queen Mary II to New York, train to Boston, train to Chicago (visit Janet's farm) train to CA to visit my 97 yr old mother who still lives alone and shops three days a week, train to Prince Ruepert, ferry to Ketchikan, fly home to Anchorage. Entire trip is being made w/o any reservations as schedule needs to remain flexible. May take 5 - 6 months depending on how many times the jeep breaks down or how high the rivers are (thee are only 80 Km of improved road in Mongolia).
This sort of says who we are without all the other history - just folks that love adventure even if we are getting older. We never travel with groups or tours - always solo or with one local guide/translator.
So while we would like to attend reunion - there is no telling where in the world you may find us when the schindig gets scheduled.
