OK, I've been "hounded" to get on this website by Kathy Szoboticsanec ... otherwise know as kathy alphabet. Basically I was told that I need to get on the the site and SIGN-UP or she would do it for me and that she didn't think I would like it!!
So here I sit, not really knowing what to say ... and trying to kill time before my Prison Break show comes on.
So maybe that is where I will start. I, after years of working in the corporate world, became a Corrections Officer and was a guard for 4 years at Burnaby Correctional Centre for Women. The government then came in and did it's budget cuts and I was out of a job when they shut down the prison I was working at. I then went and worked for Vancouver Police as a 911 emergency communications operator and did that for 2.5 years till the stress of the job hit me and it was time to move on. Actually, move back, I'm now back In Corrections at North Fraser Pretrial.
Really the only person I keep in contact with from school is Kathy Szoboticsanec and the funny thing is we never even hung out at school. Kathy and I lived together for about 6 years in a house she owned and we probably shared the best single(sometimes), years of our lives at that place. Great, great memories.
During that time I lost my Dad to diabeties in 1996, and resently my Mum just won her battle with Cancer... of course there still is my brother too.
I've completed 2 half marathons, a couple 10k runs and I have a 13.5km race coming up this weekend called the Enduro-Challenge which is a trail run around buntzen lake and I have the Fall Classic half marathon in November.
Wow, I just scrolled up and saw that I'm writing a book so I'd better stop now and save some for the reunion.
