Since graduating QE I completed a diploma in Recreation Leadership at Lanagar College, travelled to the South Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Figi, Hawaii) for a year with Olga Orth (Englmier) and travelled to Europe. I worked as a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor then as a Community Rereation Coordinator with the City of Surrey for 12 years. In 1995 I married Gordie McEwen of Burnaby and in 1997 had our first child, Dylan. After the birth of our second child, Samantha, in 1999 we moved to the small town of Tulameen (pop. 300) near Princeton BC. We spend our summers on the lake wakeboarding, motorbiking, camping and community BBQs and in the winter we ski-doo, play hockey and enjoy the cold weather. Our son keep us active each day with a variety sporting activities and our daughter is an artist. I am self employed and contract with a local advocate group and the Town of Princeton to work with children and youth organizing a variety of events and healthy programs for our Town and District. Gord and I have been married for 11 years and enjoy our family to the fullest.
