Today's Featured Biography

Audrey Gruber Hutter

After getting married in Nov., 1958, we lived in PdS until 1962 when Don was transfered to Minneapolis area.I stayed home with our 3 children for 18 years, then went to work at Sears, Burnsville, MN store as Head Cashier (money counter & banker). They offered me an early retirement package in 1991 which I accepted. After a few months at home, I went to work as cashier in a Super Valu grocery store. Due to Don's declining health, we moved to our lake home in Northern Wis. in 1999. I live alone here in the beautiful forest since 2002. Where have 50 years gone?

I enjoy doing needlework - knitting, crocheting, plastic canvas, etc. Lately, I've been finishing projects others have started but can't finish. I've kept busy keeping up my home which is on a lake. Spoiling grandchildren tops my list of hobbies.
Update by Joyce:
Audrey is in AZ till March 15 (smart lady) and won't have computer access so I'll input this update. Audrey's son Doug is a computer technician employed with Dell in Austin, TX. Audrey wonders how she, a computer illiterate, produced a son like that! His 16 year old daughter entered and won many beauty pageants from age 6 months to 14 years when her interests changed.

Audrey's son Dale owns his own boat and small engine repair shop and keeps all her "toys" running. His 14 year old son is the one she calls with her computer issues. Aren't grandkids smart!!

Her daughter Darla is a certified veterinary technician but for now is a stay at home mom with her young children. None of Audrey's children live near her so she travels to see them and really enjoys their trips to her lake home in Northern Wisconsin.

Audrey, with her church members, crochets baby blankets for homeless shelters. In 2006 and 2007 she has gone on mission trips to Mississippi to repair and rebuild homes for Katrina victims. She worked in Kiln, MS which I'm sure you all know, is Brett Favres' hometown.

Audrey is looking forward to the August 24th week-end and hopes to see many of us there.
