My first job after graduation was with Potente Decorating. I served a 4 year apprenticeship and received my journeyman's card. In Feb 69, I joined the Wi. National Guard as an Artillery Surveyor. I married on Dec 4 1971 to Cecelia Questard. It's been 37 years and I think she might keep me for another year. In Mar 75, I joined the US Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic. My first assignment was Ellsworth AFB S.D. working on KC-135 refuelers. Then I went to Mildenhall AFB England for 4 years. That was a great assignment. In 1980 I retrained into the Civil Engineering field as an electrican. I went to Cannon AFB N.M. (not good, smelled like cow dung every day) for 1 year, then George AFB Ca. 2 years, and then to Aviano AFB Italy for 3 years. There I was promoted to Master Sergeant through a program called STEP. It's means Stripes To Exceptional Performers. I took care of all the security alarm systems in northern Italy and Sardinia. I was also the President of the Air Force Sergent's Assc. in Italy. Aviano is located about 50 miles from Venice. After Avino I went to K.I. Sawyer AFB Mi. upper Michigan. My wife was from that area and even she didn't like that assignment. In 1986 I was selected to go to First Sergeant school and after school I was assigned to Castle AFB Ca. as the Civil Engineering First Sergeant. In 1990 I went to Keflavik NAS Iceland as the 960th AWACS First Sergeant. That was a 1 year remote assignment. My last assignment was Tyndall AFB Fl. Tyndall is located near Panama City Fl. It's a beautiful place on the Gulf of Mexico. We liked it so much, I retired from the Air Force in Apl 95. I now work for the Panama City Bay County International Airport. My oldest son David lives in North Calolina and and he is a Craker Barrel general manager. We have two precious grandchildren, Presely and Dlyan. Our son Kelly is a Carpenter, Misha is a Fireman, they both live here in Panama City. Sorry I can't be with you at the reunion, have fun! LOVE STEVE
