To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Forms like these make me want to say outrageous things. They just do. I write for a living, mostly trash. Luckily, I also have a husband with a real job. I asked that husband if I could bring my "trophy husband" to my high school reunion. He thought I meant him (he does still have almost all his hair and a waist - me, too!), and said he'd be delighted to attend. If I make it to reunion, I will be just returned from Mongolia where our first son lives. Looking thru the bio's on this site, I had my kids kind of late, it seems. The younger one is just 18. I found myself telling someone lately that said son is a bit of a HUGE problem as a teenager, but heck he's made it to 18 without fathering a child - 2 years longer than his own father did. This prompted a shocked look, but I'm sure you all can figure it out. Remember, I was that quiet, studious girl in high school.
I spend my days writing and gardening, substitute teaching, and working on a couple of non-profit boards. And dancing. I truly do love to dance. Are we going to dance at reunion?

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
