Hello to all that read this. I must say after having read many of the bios that I graduated H.S. with some great people and some leaders of the future. As for myself I can say that I am the same as I was in H.S. "full of S##T" but now with more purpose and responsibility.
After graduating I went through many jobs and many periods and of un-employment.....from the graveyard shift at 7-11 to a supervisor for the managing company of Sunrise Mall where I sarted out as a maintenance person...to a 2 year stint in the Army as a Satallite Communication Technician during the first Gulf War (I saw no combat). Before the Army I spent a lot of time with one of our classmates Tim Thomas. He helped me through a lot of problems in my life letting me stay with his wife and family. Fishing in Corpus is just one of the best fishing experiences in the world.
After the Army (they booted me out because I was too fat ((the pictures of me then would speak otherwise))I came back to Corpus and worked for a small company downtown repairing office equipment...typewritters, printers, calculators. Tim got me into installing Cable Television as a contractor for about a year and half but when the money slowed down he went inhouse and I started installing Fire Alarm Systems and Nurse Call Systems in construction sites I put the Fire Alarm in the hospital by the bayfront and many of the hotels and condos throughout the Corpus area.
Tim (once again ) decided to move his family to Dallas where he could make a better living than in the stimy climate of Corpus pay scale and he told me to pack my crap and move up with him and his family while I got my feet wet in Dallas. I worked installing Fire Alarms and Prison Access Controls in the Dallas Metroplex and around the state and surrounding states while waiting to get on with the local cable television company. At my first job in Dallas on my first day while doing safety training I finally found focus and love for something other than myself in life. I met Stacie my wife and her 4 year old son Dustin. Their acceptance of me into their lives has truely been the most rewarding experience I have had in life.
About six months later I got on with the local Cable Company doing high speed internet technician work with the emerging technology of cable modems that helped to make the internet what it was meant to be from the lowly days back in H.S. when signing onto to bulletin board with a 400 baud modem was the world wide web. I have always been a computer guy. Back in high school we were nerds and now it is high caliber to be a "geek". Why is it that the phrase "be nice to geeks because you will most likely end up working for one some day" didn't apply to me. Should have gone to college I guess.
As I look back I feel bad how Tim slipped outta the picture as my life took shape with my marriage to Stacie and adopting her son Dustin. For those of you who remember Tim he was the ultimate partier and a great soul. The memories I have from him and his family will always remind me of some of the good times in life. I lost track of him about a year ago, I wish him the best.
The past eight years with the many cable companies that have moved through the Dallas Metroplex have been good for me and my family. I found stability and responsibility that only can be attributed to the amazing woman my wife is. She finished her college and obtained an RN degree and became a Labor and Delivery RN. We had our first child together after she finished college and we bought property in the southern part of Dallas/Ft. Worth. We enjoy camping/RVing and making a yearly trip to the Texas coast every Spring Break.
About a year ago I went to see my doctor about some leg numbnes to later find out I was born with Spinal Stenosis and Degenerative Disc that was keeping me from standing or walking longer than about eight minutes. Had surgery Dec. 2006 and been on medical leave of absence since than being Mr. Mom and just fine with it. Being a parent and having a loving wife is all that I need to be happy in life. I hope the same kind of happiness to you all.
So, I spend a lot of time at home between apointments waiting for the therapy that will spin me into my next career in life. I won't be able to do the physical work I have in the past. Becasue of all this extra time I have right now is why this BIO is so damn long. I enjoy the time I spend infront of My 24 inch wide screen monitor sitting next to my overclocked racehorse of a computer. I enjoy computer gamming to the max. Flight simmulators are my main game while real time strategy games are next. Hey I will extend a special discount to ya if you need a credit cards website hacked to bring a balance down to zero.
