After graduation from Pershing High, I attended and graduated from the University of Detroit, with a major in Accounting. Immediately thereafter, I enlisted in the US Army where I was a Special Agent with Army Intelligence, Counter Intelligence Corps. I was honorably discharged in February 1967. Shortly thereafter, I began working as a Special Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division. I retired from the Criminal Investigation Division in January 1997 as a Supervisory Special Agent after 30 years. I had my office in Flint, MI and supervised Agents in Lansing, Saginaw, Ann Arbor and Flint, MI. Upon retiring, I began working for the FBI as a Special Investigator. I continue to work for the FBI on a part time basis.
I married Adrianne Nawrocki in May 1968. We have one son, who now lives in Kalamazoo, MI. I have two grandsons, Gavin, age 5, and Carter, age 4 months. Adrianne and I were happily married for 33 years. She passed away in 2001. In March 2005, I married Linda. She, too, was previously married for 33 years and her husband had passed away. She has two children and three grandchildren. We are very happy together and enjoy spending our time with each other.
Since graduation from high school, not counting military service, I lived in Detroit until I graduated from college. Upon returning from the military, I lived a short time in Shelby Township, MI. When I married, we purchased a home in Sterling Heights, MI. We lived there until 1977, when we moved to Grand Blanc, MI.
I enjoy my free time gardening and working around the house. Our home is located on a 12 acre site. Two acres are cleared and 10 acres are wooded. The home is located in a subdivision setting with paved roads. We often spend our summer nights on our screened in porch watching the deer and other criters in and near the woods. It is not uncommon to see deer in our yard as we are having breakfast. In my free time, I also enjoy fishing. We have a second home in Algonac, MI on the North Channel of Lake St. Clair. Linda has also become a fisherman. We enjoy spending some of our time at the lake with friends and neighbors.
I am active in my church, Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Blanc where I am the Head Usher, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and as an active member of our Men's Club.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you in September.
