It has been so much fun reading every one's bio. Here is mine.
After high school I moved away for 11 years. I lived in Southern California and Cancun, Mexico for a short time working for Club Med. Got married and had a beautiful girl, Renee. After 7 years got a divorce and moved back to Boise. I was a single parent for 6 years, and then a wonderful man walked into my life. Kevin and I have been married for 16 years. 4 months after we got married he adopted Renee. In 1995 we had a wonderful son, Riley. Last year Renee got married to an extraordinary man, Tom. He just got back from Iraq last month. They are stationed in San Diego. We are so proud of him…. We did not lose a daughter but gained a son.
I started a business in 1996, eight years later I sold the company. Since the sale of the business I have had "fun" jobs. Being a mom, working for Horizon Airlines, traveling extensively. Then for the last three years I have been an elementary Art Teacher at Owyhee Elementary in Nampa. It has been challenging but rewarding. Kevin and I have been asked recently to join the Pastoral Team at church, Family Life Church in Nampa. We excitingly accepted!
My husband has worked for Hewlett Packard for 20 years. He has a Masters Degree in
Business Administration. Renee graduated last year with a BA in Art History. She is hoping to get a job in San Diego working with a gallery or a Museum. Tom, her husband is a Marine. Riley is wonderful he is 14 years old. He has a higher GPA then I ever did, all-star baseball, all-star football. But most importantly is his character. We are continually being told by the administrators at his school, teachers and friends; he is a role model for many and will always do the right thing even if it is not the most popular thing to do. (I only wished I did that at his age)
I am looking forward in seeing everyone. I just found out last night...I am going to be a grandma.......of course I am happy, happy, happy!
