Today's Featured Biography
Michael Shelton
Hello,
I got married soon after graduating high school on Feb. 5th 1977, to a super awesome girl, Edie Campbell, also from Irvington high, class of 1975. We have been happily married for the past 31 years now. We have 2 grown children and 2 grand sons.
We have lived in the state of Alaska for the past 26 years. I work as an electrician for BP the oil company at the top of the state in a very remote location called Prudhoe Bay for 2 weeks at a time and then home for 2 weeks at a time. My wife was a stay at home mom for over 20 years and now works with kids at a middle school now that ours are on their own.
My wife and I love to travel here in Alaska and also down in the states. We try and get down to the lower 48 states 2 to 3 times a year to see family, friends and medical checkups for Edie. She is a cancer survivor and the cold winters help her and me both to spend some of the winter going to see her doctors as well as family.
We missed the 30 year reunion because of prior commitments, but look forward to the next reunion. I would like to give out a thanks to Cindy Helbig (Stanfield) for keeping me and Edie informed about the reunion and this IHS 1976 information web page.
If anyone wants information about Alaska or us, feel free to email, we can send pictures and info.
