Married to William O. White 1973. Had one son in 1973. Moved quite a bit with, now EX, because he was US Navy. Lived in NC, OH, TN and FL. Worked with Navy Wives Club, National Navy Wives Club and Navy Releif Society for several years. Divorced and remarried in 1986. Moved back to WV in 1988. Became a pretty good wood worker, flower arranger and decorative painter. Had joint venture in gift and craft business with my sister, Hope. Went to Marshall U. just before turning 40. Earned BA in Mental Health Counseling in 1998, MA in MHC in 2000. Worked with Prestera Mental Health Ctr. for several years as substance abuse therapist. Started work with WVDHHR in 2001. Enrolled in WVU MSW program in 2003 and graduated with MSW in 2006. Promoted to Social Service Supervisor in 2005. Continue to work at the Department. I am an avid gardener (flowers, produce, and sometimes weeds)as well as an avid reader and a budding jewelry maker. Love God, family, friends and my dog. I am a step grandmother but not a bio grandmother. I think my son took me seriously when he was little and I used to tell him to never get married. I am not a "keep up with the Jonses" kind of person. I love the simple life: being with husband and family, getting my hands dirty, preserving the products of my gardening labor,enjoying nature and laughing. The biggest changes I have made are: more common sense, less caring what others think, and making sure I enjoy everything good in my life.
