This could be difficult, summing up 20 years in a few paragraphs, but I'll try to keep it brief.
I started college wanting to be a veterinarian, but upon the advice of Mrs. Welty I graduated from UW-Whitewater in 1992 with a degree in English/writing emphasis, with a journalism minor. For two years I worked as a canoe outfitter in the Quetico (Canada) and a ski bum waitress in Colorado. In 1994 I returned to Wisconsin, working as a newspaper reporter for four years. Then I moved to California, where I worked as a reporter, freelance writer, avocado farmer, model/actress, and -- to my parents' horror -- a stripper in San Diego and Las Vegas.
I competed in fitness/bodybuilding for a few years, which got me into fitness modeling and a few random TV commercials, TV shows and movie roles. Ever seen the "Bun and Thigh Roller" commercial?
In 2002 I moved to Alaska for a dancing job and then took a trip to New Orleans. I fell in love with The Big Easy. For the next four years I lived between NOLA and Anchorage, until The Storm, when I moved to Denver and bought a house. I still travel a lot, dancing in NOLA, Montana and North Dakota. I write for triathlon magazines and -- yes, 10 years later -- I am still working in a cabaret. My excuse? It's book research. I'm writing a humorous memoir of my ten years as a cabaret dancer in more than 20 clubs around the U.S. and Europe. It's called Airfare on a G-String and I expect you all to buy a copy. Maybe John Gelshenen can defend me in court from all the people who will probably sue me.
I've stayed single with no children. My downhill skiing and triathlon habit takes up a lot of my time. I started racing in Alaska, and now I've completed more than 30 mountain races and triathlons. I'll bet you all feel silly for picking me last in gym class!
My brother, Sean (class of 1987) died in 2005 from cancer. I'm sure many of you remember him. Please keep his family in your thoughts -- he left behind three young daughters and a wife, who live in St. Paul. Thanks so much to the Scharines, who took such good care of my family through it all.
Have a great reunion. I wish I could come. But I'll see you all in five years.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
