Today's Featured Biography
Tanya Hein
Worked at Wollersheim Winery for 4 years while attending college. Did a semester study abroad in London, England. Saw a lot of England, Scotland, and Wales while in school, then backpacked through the rest of Europe for a month at the end of the semester. Received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Certificate in Criminal Justice from UW-Madison. Attended UW Law School and worked for the Jefferson County D.A., the State Public Defender, and the UW Legal Aid to Institutionalized Persons Program. Received my law degree, was admitted to the bar, and went to work for the state legislature. (I'm still there.) I sing soprano with the Madison Symphony Chorus and the Madison Opera Chorus. I've done a lot of traveling througout the U.S. and have made several trips to Europe. I did a one month road-trip hiking and camping at national parks out west. I spent another month traveling throughout New Zealand in a camper van, hiking mountains and glaciers, backpacking, kayaking, and general sightseeing. I love both the outdoors and cultural activities. In my free time I hike, camp, boat, ATV, canoe, backback, rock climb, fix cars, do home repairs, swing dance, visit museums, go to the symphony, and attend plays and musicals. You name it, I've probably done it ... other than drugs and crime, of course. Oh yeah, I'm getting married in two months to an electrical & mechanical engineer. We're both big kids at heart and love to go adventuring together!
