Today's Featured Biography
Leslie Hoyle
Following graduation from WHS, I went five years to Northwest Nazarene College for five years for my undergraduate studies. I met my wife at NNC and settled in the Portland, Oregon area as my wife finished her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Oregon Medical School.
I was involved in Secondary Education for 30 years teaching in the Reynolds School District east of Portland. I did graduate studies at various universities completing a Master of Science Degree at Oregon State University. Additional studies beyond my Master's inabled me to continue teaching at Mount Hood Community College 13 years beyond the Secondary School experience.
Since retiring I have led twenty some teams to various countries around the world with two trips into Russia, two into Ukraine, five teams into South America and six trips to various countries in Africa. So it has been a busy life style since finishing high school teaching. All of these teams that I have led were missions oriented in ministry and construction.
Life has been a wonderful experience. My wife and I have now celebrated our 50 years together and that also is a blessing and reminds us that the years go by quickly.
