Raymond Stricklin

Went to the University of Washington after school, dropped out after two years and ran away to join the circus.

I have a grown-up job, disciplining computers at Boeing, but I don't like to talk about that. "It pays my way and it corrodes my soul," as the song goes.

I hold an advanced degree in avoiding responsibility and have made a career out of doing whatever it is I decide I want to do.

I work at or have worked at most of the major and minor league sports teams in the area, including the Seattle Thunderbirds, the Seahawks, Sonics, and Tacoma Rainiers. I do game operations, promotions, marketing, and entertainment. Mostly entertainment.

I skate. I've done a few marathons this year; my goal is to break the 1:30 mark at Disneyworld next year.

I unicycle and juggle. I'm working on the standing back tuck (it still seems impossible).

I have been on TV more times in the last three years than I have watched it (which still is not very often). You might even have seen me and probably didn't know it.

Yawn yawn, enough about how cool my life is. It has plenty of boring and frustrating moments too.

For example, it's a constant source of embarrassment to me that I am still single. I have no kids, either, as my sainted mother will be quick to point out. I can hear her already. Oy, gevalt.

I live by myself in an apartment on Lake Union. I rented a room to John Howe for a while, but he moved out a year ago. I'm still in touch with a few folks from our class and others, but am bad about tracking down folks I didn't know so well. Drop me a line! I'd really like to hear what you guys are up to, even if it seems unglamorous to you.
