Today's Featured Biography
Lori Michael Johnson
After graduating, I attended Washington State University briefly, worked in the restaurant business for several years, as a nursery school teacher and lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota while working as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. Met my husband at a Special Olympics golf tournament. We married in Feb. of '86, and lived in Woodinville, WA. Norm was the kicker for the Seattle Seahawks. Jordan and Jarrett were born during this time. After Norm was released and picked up by the Atlanta Falcons, we moved to Suwanee,Georgia. After 4 years with the Falcons, he became a Pittsburgh Steeler. We kept our home in Suwanee but stayed with him in Pittsburgh during the season. After our first season with the Steelers, we went to the Super Bowl. Nine months later our third son was born, thus the name Jameson Steele. Norm's 18th and last season was with the Philadelphia Eagles. When he retired, we decided to move back to WA State to raise our boys closer to family. It was an extremely difficult decision because we adored Georgia. We decided to move to Kitsap County because in the 10 years we were gone, we didn't really care for the direction Seattle and the Eastside had gone. We have a beautiful 10 acre farm overlooking Hood Canal and the Olympics. We are seemingly a million miles away from everything, yet only 4 miles from a mall, Costco, Home depot, Barnes & Noble, and many more great stores. The best of both worlds!! Our oldest son Jordan is a senior this year, (2006), Jarrett a freshman and Jameson in 3rd grade. If anyone had told me I would be a mom to 3 boys, I would have laughed. I love it, though I am worn out from having 2 teenagers at the same time! Norm and I just celebrated 20 years of marriage. Norm is a Real Estate Agent with Reid Realty in Silverdale Two years ago Norm spearheaded a drive to start a Kitsap Boys and Girls Club. This June his dream will become a reality. He is also on the Board of Directors for several businesses. I am on the Board of our local dinner theater in Bremerton, The Admiral Theater. We have plays, musical and dance performers as well as big names, i.e., Bob Newhart, Crystle Gayle, Rita Coolidge, Smothers Brothers and this year Diane Schuur and Lee Greenwood. It's an awesome venue for our little town! Both Norm and I are also very involved with our local rodeo which takes place every year in August during the Kitsap County Fair and Stampede. We were in Las Vegas last December at the PRCA awards banquet because our rodeo was selected by the PRCA Board and the cowboys as one of the top 5 medium sized rodeos in the country (out of over 600)!! We were very proud. We are on the Board of a group called the Cowpokes. They are the fund raising arm of our rodeo. I am Hospitality Director. I run the hospitality barn where we feed the cowboys 3 meals a day and snacks in between, send out their laundry, have barbers at the barn cut their hair, a massage therapist, etc., etc. We are one of only several rodeos in the country that does that so the cowboys (over 400 of them) love us!! We feel very fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful community. We have met such incredible people and every day when we get out of bed, we marvel at all that we have been blessed with. I missed our 20th reunion because I was in Georgia, 8 months pregnant. To my knowledge there wasn't a 25th and now in February 2006 I am not seeing any sign of a 30th reunion. Am I not looking in the right places or have our class officers bailed on us?? If anyone knows anything, please post the info somewhere! I hope to see eveyone this year. It should be interesting after 20 years!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
