Today's Featured Biography
David Corliss
Following graduation (Chemistry, Psychology, Mathematics) from WWU, Bellingham, I taught high school for four (4) years in California (Fresno, Los Angeles) and commenced my post-graduate courses at Universities of California at Berkeley and Los Angeles, and San Jose, Fresno, and San Diego State Universities, as well as at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and Rutgers University in New Jersey. I was then employed by DODDS (Department of Defense Dependents Schools) to instruct overseas.
After thirty-nine (39) years abroad...Africa, Middle (Near) East, Europe, Great Britain, Asia, and Far East (Orient)...life again as an "occidental" in Shelton and the beautiful Pacific Northwest affords me a sense of security and tranquility, a sense of accomplishment, and a sense of belonging that comes with renewed friendships. It's almost too calming and comfortable! I truly miss all of the romance, adventure, and exposure...but it's time now, also, to grow up and face old age gracefully...hopefully...with dignity, courage, and humor/humour.....!
