Hi! Can't quite believe it's 20 years! Wow...
After high school I went to Northwest Nazarene University and studied music education for a year. I realized there that music was something I wanted to do for myself and not really as a profession. So when my folks moved to Porland, Oregon, I moved with them. I met my hubby in 1990 and we were married in 1991. In 1992 I attended Oregon Polytechnic Institute and received my certificate in Desktop Publishing and Grahpic Design. Our son, Donovan, was born in 1996 and I quit working to stay home with him. When my husband's office relocated to Salem we followed along. We lived in Salem for five years and then moved to Sublimity, Oregon. Last year I purchased a long-arm quilting machine and went into business for myself. I work out of my home studio and have a great time doing quilting for other people.
We don't make it to Othello much anymore because both of my parents are gone now and I have no other family there. We do visit friends from time to time and are looking forward to the reunion next year!
A lot has happened since my last post. My son, Donovan graduated high school in 2014 and is now working his way through college studying to be an electrical engineer. He works full time in addition to attending class. Dan and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last fall with a trip to the Oregon coast. Dan became the secretary/treasurer of the Salem Singers, a men's chorus which has been performing for nearly 70 years. I ended my school volunteering when Donovan graduated and started working in the world outside of school. Currently I work for Lindley Creative Studios in Salem, Oregon as a graphic designer. I love it!
