Today's Featured Biography

Chandra Manning

I came back to Albuquerque after graduation and have lived here since 1971. I started working full time and having fun. College? Naw. But in hindsight, I wish I would have.

I worked for the local utility, Public Service Company of NM, for 25 years before I took early retirement; I was burned out and wanted to start a second career. While at PNM, I had several mini-careers; I started as a secretary and then worked my way up to budget specialist, rates and regulation case manager, and public relations. At the time of my retirement I was community affairs manager- overseeing statewide donations, employee volunteerism, and the PNM Foundation.

I have been the administrator at the Miller Stratvert Law Firm for 10 years. Great place, am always busy with HR, PR, facilities management and marketing.

I was married briefly in the late 80s but have been single most of my life. I have a 25 year old son, Tyler, who lives here in Albuquerque along with most of my immediate family.

My free time is spent socializing with family and friends, volunteering on various boards and committees, and taking little vacations when I can.

Life is good.
