I have changed a lot since we graduated. After school was out, I moved to Deer Park, got a job at St. Lukes Hospital in the Antipartum Unit (high risk OB); started school at UT. About two & a half years in I dropped out, too much partying & too much work. I moved my employment to St. John Hospital to work nights and go to school during the day. In 1991 my Dad was killed and I dropped out, out of school, work, and life for a little while. I started working as a Buyer and found that I really had a talent there, Iím sure some of my friend would figure that I was perfect for that, shopping with corporate money :-). I have worked for several companies and am now back with the parent corporation, Christus Health, that now owns St. John Hospital, full circle I guess. It appeared to be a good match, 15 years of purchasing matched with 5 years of clinical knowledge. In these 20 years God recovered me from a horrible cocaine addiction and Iíve been clean & sober for 15 years as of Oct 8th 2007. I got married once clean from drugs and have a beautiful daughter, Allison, that is 8 now. I divorced my husband over a year ago, after a very long 5 year separation. I didnít feel good about it, but it was the best thing for Allison & I. I Thank God every day for the things I have and the things I donít have in my Life. I really enjoy being a Mom, my girl is my life and it's great.
Update! 05/02/15 - time sure does fly! working for a small woman owned business; I also create & make jewelry, I'm a notary public and a Wedding Officiant. Still living in Bellaire area and dealing with a 16 y/o. Life is full of twists and turns, just keep moving forward.
Peace be with each of you every day.
