This month we are looking forward to cooler days, turkey and pumpkin pie. But more importantly, it is a time to remind us to be thankful for our faith, family and friends. Also, we should all be thankful for our days gone by growing up in Houston and attending Reagan High School. These two slideshows are of our childhood homes. Taken a few years ago - some may be gone today. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Art and I will celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary in November. We have encountered many experiences during this time and are very grateful for our wonderful life. Most of our married life was spent in Houston, with the exception of Uncle Sam sending us to Germany in the Army. We are now retired and living in Bellville, Texas near Art's birthplace. Bellville is a great little town and close to Houston when we feel the need for the big city. Mike and Brenda and Terri and Craig have provided us with five wonderful grandchildren, ages 35, 21, 17, 11, and 8. We also have three precious great-grandchildren. My career was in the insurance industry for 30+ years, and I very much enjoyed working. Art (an Aldine graduate) retired from the flange manufacturing business after 30 years, then worked three days a week for ten years, and is now completely retired as of May 2015. Art and I enjoy traveling, being involved with our grandkids, other family members, and friends. We are active in our Lutheran Church in the little community of New Wehdem, between Bellville and Brenham. Life is good, and we are truly blessed!!
