Today's Featured Biography
Carolyn Kurts Raney
I currently live in Seattle, WA. I moved up here in 2004 from Phoenix when my daughter and son-in-law made me a grandmother for the first time. I had lived in Phoenix for 21 years. I left American Express after 15 years of employment when I moved to Seattle. My son and his wife moved to Seattle from Japan about the same time I moved here, so both my children and their families are nearby. I now have 2 granddaughters (belong to my daughter) and 1 grandson (belong to my son). I learned just this week that my son and his wife are expecting a second child in early December.
I married Bill Raney (DHS class of 1965) in December of 1968. We lived in Guymon, OK, Borger, TX, Garland, TX, and Phoenix, AZ before he was transferred to San Diego in late 1993. Tragically, he was killed 10 days after moving to San Diego (4 days before our 25th wedding anniversary). I had not joined him yet, which was typical of our transfers. Anyway, I became a widow at the age of 45 and have been alone since then. However, God has been good to me and, with His help, adjusted to life without my awesome husband.
I don't often get back to the wonderful Texas panhandle. But, for a true Texan, there is no place in the world like Texas! A Texan will always be a Texan, no matter where life takes him/her. I still have siblings and extended family in the Amarillo area.
I would love to hear from former classmates. My e-mail address is available on my profile.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
