Today's Featured Biography
Phyllis Collins Rummel
I married Doug 38 years ago, we have 3 adult kids, 3 grand children, graduates of Lake Travis High School. We met June 1, 1966, married June 5, 1971. Doug graduated June 1, 1966 from W B Travis. He played baseball and was pitcher/catcher for the baseball team.
I am a certified Emergency Medical Tech-Basic (EMT-B), a Nature Photographer, State of Texas employee. I do genenalogy research. Live on 10 acres, just outside Austin owned the land since 1974. Doug and I lived outside Granger, Texas while he was in charge of builing one side of the dam for Granger lake. I even learned how to milk cows while there. We raised Blue Tick Coon Hounds while there. Went hunting almost every night.
Worked at TXDOT and IRS,DARS (AKA TX Rehab), Mary Kay Cosmemtics, Calcasieu Lumber Co, Enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, sewing, crafting, coaching baseball, select softball,hiking,travel. Taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, was member of Women's Aglow Fellowship for years as prayer counselor.
I show my photography at different exhibits and enter competions. Love going to Colorado in the fall to photograph, wildlife, mountains, and towns. A few of my photos can be viewed at www.pbase.com under search enter prummel. They are also on Flickr.com as TexasEMT577.
New York Institue of Photography Graduate in Professional Photography 1998. Attended workshops and ACC classes for photography.
I volunteer as an EMT-B 1st Responder for DARS/DDS and was volunteering for Hays Co. but no longer for Hays Co. I attend the EMS conference every year for continuing education credits.
