Today's Featured Biography
Jimmy McKibben
I graduated from law school in 1969 and moved to Corpus Christi where I have practiced law ever since. I have two daughters and a stepdaughter and eight grandchildren, four girls, and four boys, two of whom were born on my birthdays. My firm practices civil defense trial law, and I have been Board Certified in Civil Trial law since 1981. I am the managing partner of our firm of twelve lawyers. I moved to Corpus Christi with the desire to be in a city smaller than Houston and to be near the water. My family enjoyed sailing and I became active in sailing organizations and served as Commodore of the Corpus Christi Yacht Club in 1998. We have a small ranch in Refugio County that the kids enjoy and on my 55th birthday my wife gave me a Harley Daqvidson. I enjoy that a lot, particularly trips through the hill country. It has been very comforting to maintain contact with friends from Reagan including Fritz and the nefarious tennis group, Fred Rehfield, and until his passing Dean McCarley. I recall having lunch with Jim Bob Doty at least once in the late 70's when our paths crossed, and George Polk has been kind enough to visit us at dove hunts. I have on occassion imposed on Jim Bob for a referral to an attorney in DC to assist a friend. I am looking forward to next years reunion.
