Today's Featured Biography
Cindy Hendren Neusse
Thanks for including me in the reunion plans. I left Bartlett in '65 and finished up at Memphis Evening School. But at my request, they graciously put Bartlett High School on my '66 diploma. My daughter Paige was born on the night of your graduation.
Rich & I married in 1970 and the US Army sent us to Germany where our daughter Chelsea was born. We graduated from UT El Paso in 1978 and began civilian life in the Dallas/FW area. Both daughters are married and live close to us. We have 6 beautiful grandchildren ages 16 to a month.
I currently work for the University of Texas in Arlington as Assistant Director of Accounting. I've been a CPA for 25 years and worked most of those years for large oil companies. The past 3 years at the university however have been my favorites. Part of that is due to a 4 mile commute and a private parking spot - LOL.
We love to host large family events and entertain international students from UTA. Last year we had over 50 Chinese students and their families at various dinner parties. Currently we're studying Mandarin and teach English as a Second Language (ESL) at our church. We'll be going to Beijing in May next year for vacation. Between the exchange students who have lived with us and the UTA families we have hosted, we have over 250 friends in Beijing alone. That's more than we still know in Tennessee!
So sorry to have missed the reunion. Sept is the busiest time of year for a university accountant - Aug 31 is our year end. But I love reading the biographies. It's really affirming how normal we all turned out (well, except for a couple of you).
I'll be in Memphis, Covington, Murfeesboro, Nashville and Maryville Tennesse during the week of Thanksgiving. Maybe we could say hello to some of you then.
