Can You Believe It's Been A Year?
Thanks to everyone for making our 50th Reunion so successful! It was wonderful seeing everyone and sharing good times - but - that was already a year ago! How time flies! Before we know it, it will be time to plan another reunion! What better way to spend time but with old classmates and friends.
Some of us talked about having a get-together every 2 or 3 years, since we're not getting any younger. (Who says???) Many of you already know that Ed Young coordinates a monthly luncheon in Columbia, and many of our class and other classes get together to stay in touch. If you would like to know more about these monthly gatherings, please drop me an email, and I'll put you in contact with Ed, or give you the information.
Also, if you have any recommendations or suggestions on what kind of mini-reunion we should plan next, please email me at email@example.com.
I have been happily married for 30 years to my wife, Pat (Buckner). I have three daughters (Shannon McDonald, Kelly Oswald, and Megan Lanham), one step-daughter (Tina Palmer Ballentine), and one step-son (Joey Palmer). I have eleven terrific grandchildren who help keep me young. There are 6 girls and 5 boys with the oldest just turned 20 and the youngest almost 4 years old. After graduation I went to work at Allied Chemical but was drafted into the Army and sent to Vietnam. After my Army time was up I returned to work at Allied. I retired in 2005 from Honeywell (Allied Chemical) after 38 years of service. My wife, Pat, also retired in 2005 from Bank of America. We are loving retirement and stay busy with family and traveling all over the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Sometimes we travel with our fifth wheel camper and other times we just fly and drive. We live in the White Rock area near Ballentine, SC.
