I actually left in 1960 as my father rwas transferred ti Westocer ADV in Massachusetts (spelled right I think). In March of 1961, Mom and we hree children, Larry, Connie amd myself, moved back to Hueytown, Alabama, where I had attended grammar school several years earlier. Graduated in May 61, joined the Air Force in August, first duty station was Hickam AFb, HI (rough duty, right). Then to Craig AFB, in Selma, Al for 3 years. Then to Elmendorf AFB for 2 years, and then to Maxwell AFB, Al. Met my wife in Oct 70 and married in Feb 71,We had 2 children, Laura born in 72 and David born in 80. In Sep72, went to Danang AB, for 6 months, then to Korat AB , Thailand for 6 mths. From there to Tyndall AFB. Fl for 9 years. Retired from AF in 82, started with Postal Service in Nsdhville, Tn in 83, Took medical retirement in 96 due to stroke. In Sep 99, I started at Ford Credit and retired from there in 2008. I'M TIRED OF RETIRING. We live in Columbia, Tn (resided here since 1983) Would like to hear from classmates. My e-mail address is arvelandnancy@yahoo.com
