Wow, suddenly I feel old. I remember the day the senior picture people tracked me down and took my picture against the hallway wall with that sweet thin leather tie on after I failed to show for either of the two photo sessions. My, how times have changed. After HS I moved into the 13th grade at nick nack. While there I majored in every possible distraction from class and my studies including weight lifting and finding the next party. These distractions helped me convert a 2 year Associates in Business Administration degree into a 4 year adventure. Near the completion of my 4 year program I decided that it was not going to get me very far so I started applying to any college that would accept me and my less than stellar GPA. Of course, I also longed for the freedoms that came with the true college experience. That search landed me at Millersville Univ. where in two years I finally completed a BS in Business Administration. The job search was on and eventually led me to the Vanguard Group in Valley Forge where I worked and lived for two years before moving to Charlotte NC to help open our Institutional division. I have worn many hats at the Vanguard Group along the way and have now settled into our High net worth service division. I met my wife at Vanguard in Charlotte back in 1999 and married in 2001. Moving to Charlotte was one of the best decisions I ever made. I found the love of my life and my interests really peaked after moving to the area. I now have more hobbies and gear than I can keep up with. We white water kayak and climb at the US National White Water center here in Charlotte (Largest class IV man made river in the world), it's an amazing facility. We also do a good bit of mountain biking and backpacking in the Smokey Mountains. I also grow a large garden every year, giving away most of the crop to neighbors and coworkers. I am a competitive all grain homebrewer and have converted most of my garage into a brewery. I belong to the Carolina Brewmasters homebrew club here. In addition to homebrewing we also run a huge Oktoberfest beer festival at the end of Sept. each year. Last year we had 6000 people in attendance. We are pretty active in the event planning each year. My Wife Kimberly has been in Pharmacy school for the last 6 years and is graduating on May 10 of 08. We are very excited, especially her to get back to our normal lives together. We will soon be adding a second cat to the family. We were just talking about my 20 year the other day and were thinking it would be a fun time. If it comes together we will be sure to bring a keg or two of something good along with us. Style suggestions are welcome. Whatever you choose I can brew it. Cheers!
