Wow, 34 yrs is a whole lot of time to cover, so will make this short and sweet ;)
Married Rod Logue after graduation, had 3 wonderful sons. Marriage ended in 1982.
Moved to Anchorage, Alaska in March 1983 and worked for an oil related construction company along with bartending at Chilkoot Charlies. Went to work on the North Slope in 1986...in October 1988 visited an ex-husband in Kodiak and have been here ever since.
Life has given me an opportunity to experience a lot of various employment since I moved to Kodiak: bartender, Office Manager/graphic layout for a local print shop, commercial fisherman, taxi driver,Day Care Provider, to my present two jobs AND loving every minute of it all. Plus a wide diversity of people, which is always fun and interesting.
I remarried in Aug. 2002 to a wonderful man who retired from the local police department at the end of 2005. We are in the process of going back and forth over the fact that he wants to move to the lower 48 and I'm liking our little island in the North Pacific. I wouldn't mind just taking 2 vacations a year, getting me out of Kodiak is somewhat difficult at times, but the grandchildren are growing and I'm missing so much of that.
All in all, life has been interesting and I'm looking forward to connecting with members of our Class and seeing you all at our next class reunion.
God Bless and keep you all safe.
I haven't been doing much of anything these past months as I am still in shock and disbelief. My dear husband and best friend passed away on 24 February 2007. I am going through a difficult time yet and trying to get a handle on life and where to go from here.
I did take a few weeks to make a trip to Grants Pass in March to spend with family. It was a nice trip, but I guess I am just not ready yet to return to Oregon ... I like the small town life I've had for nearly 19 years now and this little island in the North Pacific.
I have once again changed employment, but am still bartending for now. I am returning to school this fall to bring my business up to par and maybe go in another direction. Will see what happens.
Thank you all for the wonderful emails and cards that you have sent my way ... you are all blessings.
