Dear Class of '68 Classmates,
The year 2013 marks 45 years since we graduated and left the halls of Ashland High School. Some have asked if we are having any type of celebration or get-together. We have proposed that as a class we encourage all '68 classmates who wish, to attend the AHS Alumni Association Banquet on Saturday, July 27th and save the hard work for the committee for the 50th reunion. Several of us have attended the alumni banquet for the past few years and we assure you 1) you are "old enough", and 2) it is a nice event and a chance to get together, eat good food and see friends from other classes as well. The registration form is available from Michele Roberts Hassell (hassell@mind.net) in case you haven't seen it or missed it when the alumni association sent it to those for whom they have addresses.
In addition, some of us have suggested that it might be nice to have an informal get together on Friday night the 26th, prior to the alumni banquet. We could rent a pavilion at the lake and offer some simple finger foods and beverages. This would involve some additional cost for those who also want to attend the alumni banquet, so it would be nice if we could get responses from classmates regarding this idea as well as get an approximate head count for Friday night. Please respond ASAP to Pam (pam@ashland-homes.com), Anne (amelia50@yahoo.com) or Michele (hassell@mind.net) and let us know whether you would prefer to:
A) Just attend the alumni banquet
B) Have an informal Class of '68 get together on Friday night in addition to the banquet
