Clint is still the same great guy he always was, maybe even more so. He shares all that he is and all that he has with everyone-his humor, his smiles, his talents, his time and his earthly goods. He is still an avid fisherman, but now he actually has a boat fast enough to catch the fish.
Last summer we went on a search for a boat to replace our old lake boat, one that we had for at least 22 years. The previous fall we had bought one that we thought was just right. But Clint wanted "MORE POWER" (imagine that!) So we traded up for a small sled with a jet outboard. It nearly killed him and his buddy, who were both standing at the steering console when they rounded a bend in the Rogue. The little sled rolled to the right and threw Clint out, then rolled to the left and out went Todd. They did make it out okay, and we even took that onery little thing catfishing up to Ontario with no trouble at all.
After discovering that the sled was not the boat for us we spent last summer making trips to the coast, checking out boats that sounded promising. By this time it was apparent that a bigger "MORE POWERFUL" vessel was needed. We finally found a great older jet inboard at Port Orford that we are sure is "THE ONE". At least it will start us on some new adventures such as: learning to run the Rogue from inside the boat; experimenting with new methods of fishing (and inventing some of our own); teaching the wife how to back the boat trailer into the water; and other exciting stuff.
Actually, I think we had more fun looking for a boat than we ever will using it, but we just have to try. We may even figure out what all that "POWER" is for!
We look forward to seeing you at the reunion.
