For nearly 42 years, I have been married to Al Shimondle, my very best friend. Al served a tour of duty in Vietnam, while I lived in the Bay area of California and worked for Ma Bell. After Al's return we moved to Johnson City, Tenn. where he was stationed at East Tenn State University ROTC dept. Two of our children Christy & Paul were born in Johnson City, Tenn. After discharge from the arm we moved to Tx. We spent 12 years in Texas, living in Beaumont, San Antonio & Plano, Tx. Our youngest son Matthew, was born in Tx. Martha did volunteer work with the PTA and was a school crossing guard. In 1984, we moved to Boise, Idaho, where we have lived for some 24 years. Al & I grow a huge garden, vegetables, fruit trees, berries & flowers. We spend much of our summer canning our produce. We are retired and enjoy spending time with our 10 grandchildren who range in age from 2 to 17. I am looking forward to seeing many of you this summer.
