Today's Featured Biography
Robert Estes
Married Billie Jean (Jeannie) Merritt Dec 26, 1965. Graduated OSU May 1968. Attended TU for a while. Taught school at Tulsa Ok for a couple of years to avoid being drafted, but went to the military anyway in 1969. Attended OTS in USAF and departed in 1974 as a Captain. Returned to Tulsa and started in the auto business selling Oldsmobiles as a lark. Here I am nearly 40 years later still fooling with them. Along the way I also became a real estate broker and appraiser and did that full time with my Father in law Bill Merritt. Billie Jean passed on to heaven Dec 2006 after a short bout with colan cancer. My children live in the area, my daughter Shannon and her husband Todd own a grocery/ deli/ lunch store in Leedey and have 5 children from 10 to 19. My son Sean is the pastor at Eastside Baptist in Elk City and has 2 daughters 13 and 8. I remarried in April 2012 to a wonderful woman 5 years my junior. I enjoy golf, motorcycle touring, part time work, grandchildren , and my church. Update Jan 31, 2020 Retired in Sept 2019. Two oldest grandchildren are married and now have 2 great grand children courtesy of my oldest grandson Evin, who is 26. Cash is almost 3 and River is approaching 1.
