Today's Featured Biography
Patricia Evans Thurston
2012 – “After a brief detour in our retirement plans for successful treatment of breast cancer, my husband Joe and I sold our sales rep business and retired to the life of a happy traveler. I love to hike, Joe lives to fish, and we both love to sail. I have traveled with the Indianapolis Hiking Club to England, Wales, and many beautiful National and State parks while Joe likes to bonefish in Christmas Island, FiJi’s. We both hike and fish the Smokey Mountains every spring and sail on Lake Michigan in the summer. After retiring from the public library I now volunteer in our church library helping to keep the online catalog up to date and generally keep current books on the shelf. I have a love of books and enjoy reading mysteries.. We have one grandson, Sam, who this year is playing on a rugby team. Life is good and always changing. I look forward to seeing where the next five years lead me.”
---------------- HISTORY ----------------
1992 - Hobbies: Our family's interests are mainly sailing, either at our local reservoir or on Lake Michigan. Our daughter last year married a young man from the sailing club: while our son is studying to be a professor of ancient history and prefers to study bones & stone. Whitmer memorable experience: I enjoyed working with Mr Stacy and being a part of the circus. We were doing then what they are doing now in the Olympics.
Being on ladders and working with Nadine Garner bring back happy memories. What I have learned: How important it is to be a part of a loving and caring family! Friends and family make life exciting and enjoyable, what would we do without them. How I have changed: It is hard to remember the girl of 1962 but surely I am more outgoing, community minded, and have expanded my interests and activities.
1997 - Pat is a Secretary with Thurston Engineering and a Librarian at the Carmel Library. She has two children Stacy Roeschlein - 30 and Steve Thurston -27. She has one grandchild Sam Roeschlein 1 year old. Pat went Ghost hunting in Wales! She drove down narrow lanes and thru many sheep gates to visit the ancestral home of her father, built in 1021. She is the descendant of a Spanish sea captain. This year she is learning the art of fly fishing.
2007 - Pat married Joseph and is the Office Manager for Thurston Engineering, she has retired in 2001 from Carmel Public Library. .

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
