Dear Classreport users: We are one of the premiere social networking websites dating back to 2003. We are a small, family owned and operated business with less than 15 staff but freely host over a million class websites. Classreport holds a special place in the hearts of our users: Bravos. We are funded solely through your voluntary contributions. Despite our small size we have the same costs as any other site: servers, security, software, and staff. So now we ask for your support. If everyone reading this gave $15, our fundraiser would be over in one day. If Classreport is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online and ad-free for another year. Thank you. Recap of our reunion

The OFHS Class of 1964’s 45th Reunion was the best ever!

On Friday, September 25, 2009, we made our contribution to the history of Olmsted Falls by unveiling & dedicating our class brick at the Charles A. Harding Memorial covered bridge. When you're in town be sure to stop by to see it along with those from some of our classmates.

We then attended the OFHS football game at the "new" high school, built in 1968. Our Bulldogs beat Midpark & the Class of 1964 was highlighted during half-time with a special Beach Boys song & an announcement.

After the game we went to Barbarino's where we gathered to eat, drink & catch up with friends.

Saturday morning the golfers teed up & braved the showers as they bonded over a round of golf.

Saturday evening we all went to Tony K's in Berea for a delicious dinner, dancing & door prizes. A special presentation of a DVD of memories from years past was made & surprise - classmates who attended the dinner received a copy of the DVD to take home.

Sunday morning came too soon as we gathered to say goodbye at a brunch at the Radisson in North Olmsted.

We'll keep in touch & hope to see you at the 50th!

Annette Towner is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. For the past 30 years, she has combined her business experience with a degree in early childhood education to fulfill her personal mission to make a positive difference in the life of anyone she meets, especially young children and their families.

As a teacher for over fifteen years, Annette worked with children of all ages: from as young as 18 months up to children who were 12 years old. She taught at private for-profit child care centers, a college laboratory school for young children, and Head Start Program in the inner city of Cleveland where she was selected as the “Ohio Head Start Teacher of the Year.” She also gained valuable management experience as a lead teacher and a director of a child care center.

Annette shared her expertise with early childhood professionals and parents by presenting workshops as well as mentoring and training child care staff. As a consultant to child care entrepreneurs, Annette assisted her clients from the initial inception of the center to the gala ribbon-cutting opening of each new site.

Annette expanded her consulting services by specializing in the research-based High/Scope curriculum. Some of her clients included the Henrico County Schools in Richmond, Virginia; the West Side Ecumenical Ministries Child Development Centers in Cleveland; and the Council for Economic Opportunities of Greater Cleveland. She traveled abroad for the Integrative Learning Corp. LTD. where she was instrumental in the establishment of the Asian demonstration school for the High/Scope Institute in the Republic of Singapore.

As the Program Coordinator of the UAW-Family Service Learning Center Community Child Care Network, Annette wrote grant proposals for materials and equipment. Additionally, she provided training for child care providers in five counties of northeastern Ohio. In this capacity, Annette was responsible for recruiting providers, assessing quality of the providers, training staff, providing technical assistance, and managing the funding.

Annette was also the Professional Development Specialist for The Centers for Families & Children where she mentored & provided training for the staff of eight early learning centers serving children in northeast Ohio's most challenged neighborhoods.

Annette taught early childhood education classes at two locations: Adult learners at the Polaris Career Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and Starting Point for Child Care and Early Education, a local resource and referral agency that provides continuing education for child care staff in four counties of northeast Ohio

Annette was a volunteer member of the Early Childhood Education Advisory Committee for Cuyahoga Community College and volunteered her time working as a community representative for a local Head Start agency. Annette also worked as a volunteer for the non-profit organization Project Joy! in Elyria, Ohio where she taught classes in the art of clowning which encourages participants to get in touch with "their inner child.” Her clown character “Carry Joy” made monthly visits to nursing homes and hospitals for over 20 years.

Annette has completed a graduate level certification as an Early Childhood Literacy Mentor. Additionally, she is certified by the Department of Education of the State of Ohio as an Adult Educator. Annette is a “comprehensive member” of the National Association for the Education of Young Children including state and local chapters and the High/Scope International Registry of High/Scope Certified Trainers. She has been a presenter at many of their annual professional development conferences.
