A note from Sherry Morehouse Carver...
Hello everyone of the class of '87. It is remarkable that it has been 20 years since we stood in the gym and graduated. I'm excited that I have th

. . .
Hey everyone! It has been great to read all the updates!
Well, here is what I have been doing the last twenty years (besides staring increduously at all the new lines in my face!) - Graduated from The Ohio State University where I lived the entire time with Alice Schuk. Not only do we still speak we are still good friends. Part of my college education took place in Paris, France including six weeks lounging around on the French Riviera. My real major therefore was in tanning and pastries but my diploma reads "International Studies Major" and "French Minor". After France I moved immediately to London, England where I worked for four months and developed my British accent which I can still throw around if the situation warrants it (explaining to cops why I'm a terrible driver is a prime example of a situation. I mean really, how can one expect to drive well when one presumbably is from the UK?). After graduationg from OSU I moved to Germany where I actually worked for a year as a nanny for Willie Trimmer and his wife! It was fun and I got to continue to glob trot which I love to do.
I moved to Boynton Beach, Florida in February of 1997 and cannot get enough of the life style down here. The first thing I did was throw away my ice-scraper!! Boynton is just north of Boca Raton.
My passions now continue to be relatively the same as they were in high school with a few new hobbies picked up along the way. I still read like crazy and have experienced some commercial success as a writer doing sales and marketing pieces for TV commercials and local companies. (I've been shopping that prom poem around that I wrote in 1987 but haven't gotten any takers yet. Can't imagine why). I'm looking forward to the launch of my freelance writing company coming up in the next few months.
One of my new hobbies is preparing for hurricanes but that's pretty much a forced one! I continue to travel about the planet as much as I possibly can.
My full time day job is mortgage brokering which I adore and this has allowed me to pick up one of my new hobbies, that of real estate investing. It's great except during a certain time of year (see forced new hobby above).
So that's about it! The past twenty years have been full of everything you would expect from life; exciting successes and disappointing failures, people coming in and out of my life, times that have made me shout with joy and times that have saddened my soul to no small degree. I'm sure everone can relate.
However, if you are reading this you are alive and that means you are still here with the chance to make a difference! If your life has offered you singleness may you enjoy your freedom, if you have children may you realize you are tethered by love and if you are still wondering how to leave your mark on the world go back to your childhood and remember what made you really, really happy. I'll bet it was something that you also do naturally very well. Share your gifts and talents!! The world is waiting for YOU!
