Today's Featured Biography
Carol Cockman Cantrell
Enlisted in Navy in 1971. Married a Marine .
Two boys (Scott/1972 and Tony/1975) Community College, Wife, Mom + various jobs until 1979. Square D, ITT, Aerotron .
(moved back & forth between California & Raleigh)
Professional Life began in May 1979 with a company formerly known as NORTEL - now known as Genband. Involuntarily Retired as of April 2012 from Technical Customer Support .
My personal life began in 1982 when I parted ways with my 1st husband and met the Love of My Life and the Best Friend ever - Roger Cantrell. He transfered up from West Palm Beach Fla (NORTEL) , and I was lucky enough to be assigned as his Boss. Married in 1983 - one son Lee born in 1985.
Roger passed away unexpectedly July 2011 of a heart attack.
Grandson Brandon (Scott's son) born in 1997. Moved to Hillsborough in 2000 where I now live. Lee married a wonderful Durham girl in April 2011 (Amanda) and now lives in Mebane. I have a grand-puppy Dwight too.
Re-discovering life at 59 with a longtime friend Randy Morris. He was the man who hired me at Nortel in 1979.

MILLBROOK vs WAKEFIELD
COMING TO THE MHS HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME?
YOU HAVE 2 OPTIONS!
OPTION #1:
Meet at the Hospitality Suite at the Clarion (Room 1801) and carpool.
The Hospitality Suite (Clarion Room 1801) will open at 4:00 on Friday Sept 23. We will meet and carpool to the game. We will leave the suite at 5:45 PM to give ourselves plenty of time to get to Millbrook by 6:30 PM. Please let Stephanie know if you are taking this option (stephsmith1971@aol.com). We have a Van and another vehicle with room for 10 passengers & 2 drivers but need to see if we need additional cars.
IF you are not going to the game or if it is raining and you change your mind about the game on up to the Hospitality suite. I twill remain open during the game. Sophia Shepard Kusnic will be acting as Hostess during that time.
OPTION #2:
Meet us at the box office at the Millbrook Athletic Field at 6:30 PM. Look for the Class of ’71 sign that will be waved around. If you get there early go ahead and get your tickets. We will all join up & go into the game as a rowdy group! If you arrive late come on in and look for the sign in the bleachers.
Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own ticket to the game: $7.00/each
AFTER THE GAME: Everyone can come to the Hospitality Suite (Clarion 1801) for Pizza. If the weather is bad Pizza may be ordered earlier. It will also offer wine, beer, water, soft drinks, & juice. If you want “hard liquor” you must provide that yourself. None of your registration $$ is being used to pay for this. It will stay open as long as anyone can hang!
Please let us know if you plan to come so we can order enough Pizza
