. . .
A member of the Worthington High School Class of 1977. My family moved the summer following our 10th grade year. I graduated from Butterfield - Odin High School in Butterfield MN. I graduated from the Worthington Community Collge (1979) and Mankato State University(1980)My field of study was Recreation Parks and Community Education. Dan and I were married October 18,1980. Dan was in the Navy. Navy life took us to FL, WI and CA before he decided to get out of the service to help me raise our children. Military service is very hard on families and servicemen and women.
I have worked in many capacities over the years; I began as a waitress/ bartender at the Country Club and a childcare worker at the Crippled Childrens School (Lakeview/ District 518 residential program)I later was entrusted with managing the residential program. Since then I have been a manager of a convenience store, an activity Director/ Admin Asst at the Meadows in Worthington and am presently thrilled to be a Nanny/Household Manager for a local family.
Dan works for Premierbancard in Sioux Falls SD.
Michael, and his wife Ashley adopted a family of 3 children, making the next phase in parent hood a reality. GRAMMA.
Joshua, and his wife Kristen adopted a labradoodle and so I have the now popularized Granddog!
Life has been amazing I have experienced the ups and downs, challenges and accomplishments and though there are a few things I may have done different, I know each step along the way made me stronger. When you are in Worthington, give me a call or post a message, maybe we can gather for coffee or a class of wine.
