30 Years! I've been married for 21 of those years (met husband Mark in Albuquerque). Moved around to Denver and then Boston (Mark's from Massachusetts). Shortly after our daughter Nicole was born, we decided to move back to Minnesota. We then moved to the Brainerd Lakes area around 6 years ago, and spent most of last year having a house built on 15 acres. Not the best time we've ever had, but we're finally in and enjoying life in the country with our horses and dogs (unfortunately, life in the country means going back to dial-up for internet services!).
Nicole is almost 20 and will be graduating from Central Lakes College this Spring in Criminal Justice. She is currently interning with the Lake Shore police department, and hopes to get a job with them if she pasts her P.O.S.T. in June. Hmmm – think she would have ever arrested her mother--nah, I was such a good kid! She's also playing trumpet for the college community band and much to my dismay, is engaged and getting married the weekend after our reunion (too young!).
Let's see – work. I worked for Cargill, General Mills and American Express when we lived in Elk River. Up here, I decided to take a State job and currently work at Central Lakes College. Looking forward to seeing everyone in October . . . I wish my daughter would have had the chance to go to a small school like we did – it was great!
