Worked at McGraw Edison (Albion) for two years, got married moved to Coldwater. Worked at White Supply (formerly Cutchers Supply) for 10 years. Had two children, bought several rental properties, went to work for Smith Htg. for about one year, then purchased the business in 1975. Also purchased 30-unit motel same year. Bought a couple of small farms. Purchased a wholesale htg & A/C company in Toledo, OH. Divorced in 1980 and moved to Fremont, IN. Operated motel and continued with Htg.-A/C business. Bought Phillips Steel Corp. in Coldwater in 1998 and purchased the old co-op buildings about 2000. Started a branch of Htg & A/C supply co. in co-op building. In 2000 bought a new motorcycle with camper and rode to Alaska. Have ridden out West several times since then. Ridden two more times to Alaska, one time all the way to Prudhoe Bay and the oil fields. Next time to Inuvik where the Ice Road Trucker show is filmed.
Found my little turtle (Snappy) about 20 years ago. He now weighs 30 pounds and is still very friendly. My grandson was down last summer and said I want to ride on Snappy. So he got on and took a ride across the yard. Snappy rides in the truck with me and I take him to schools, old folks homes, and he gets invited to lots of parties.
I now live near Fremont with my very special friend, Beverly Troutman.
