Policy Administration Specialist

- Leveraged partnerships with internal departments with regards to Hyatt plan paperwork development and changes, Front-End system set-up, Back-end system set-up and Compliance issues
- Implemented many on-line services including auto-increase, paperless enrollment and beneficiary tracking to make information more readily accessible to participants
- Worked in conjunction with the Communication Consultant on the creative team that developed the mid-‘05 Hyatt participant communications campaign

- Primary facilitator for a high level bi-weekly conference call with Hyatt Corporate which included maintaining a calendar of events, updating the outstanding deliverables log and preparing the agenda
- Have participated in multiple visits to my former client, Arbitron, at their headquarters in Columbia MD, and helped to host other client visits to the T. Rowe Price, Owings Mills’ financial campus
- Responsible for creating, then maintaining, databases that were used by my group (client administration), the transaction processors and the phone representatives with all pertinent plan rules, procedures and guidelines.
- Oversaw the release of quarterly statements for every participant among 16 different Hyatt plans. This involved being responsible for troubleshooting problems and verifying the accuracy of the data provided (demographic, financial, fund performance, etc.)
- Provided monthly reporting to keep client informed of potential issues with loan deductions, salary deferral contributions, and other participant account reconciliation matters.
- Took the lead in coordinating the development of all 3 of Hyatt’s newest plan participant kits (including the Spanish translations for each)
- Created official plan flows, maintained legal plan documents and retained plan trust agreements
- Responsible for researching problems, taking action to correct them, then implementing procedures to prevent future occurrences

COMMUNITY SERVICE

- Was a mentor in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland from August 2004 until October 2006.
- Was the Director & Parliamentarian on the Board of the Carver Foundation [a non-profit 504C) organization formed as the philanthropic arm of Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Towson] from May 2005 until September 2006
